Tigers add Warren for 2021-22 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of William Warren for the 2021-22 season.

Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Warren is returning to the city after completing his Bachelor of Business Administration at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. During his four seasons with StFX, the forward played 31 games for the X-Men, netting six regular season goals, two playoff goals, and five assist during his time. Named an AUS second team all-star in 2018, Warren is a three-time Academic All-Canadian and a three-year member of the Dean’s List.

Warren plays for Suburban FC and was named the Nova Scotia Soccer League young player of the year in 2018. In 2019, he took a trip down south to play the club season with FC Buffalo of the National Premier Soccer League where he tallied four goals and six assists.

“I am really looking forward to coming to Dalhousie as a senior player,” says Warren. “I hope I am able to have an impact and to help lead an already very talented team both on and off the field. I think that if we can establish a strong team culture and approach with the right mindset, this team can do great things.”

Warren has been accepted to the corporate residency MBA program at Dalhousie.

“I’m really excited to be welcoming Will to the Tigers family,” says Jazic. “He is a very dynamic footballer who has the ability to break defenders down with his 1v1 ability. Will has explosive pace; he can finish chances with both feet and he’s relentless in the attacking third. In addition to being a talent on the pitch, he will bring great leadership to our squad. He has all the core values that we’re looking for in student-athletes and here at Dalhousie!”
