Tigers settle for 2-2 result with Sea-Hawks

(Halifax, NS) – It was a tie score of 2-2 in the game on September 26 at Wickwire field featuring the Dalhousie Tigers and the Memorial Sea-Hawks.

The first half had only one goal which was scored by Dalhousie's Bezick Evraire (Ottawa, ON). That was Evraire's 8th goal of the season so far and third goal of the weekend as he scored two goals against Saint Mary's the previous night, on the 25th of September. Evraire's goal was made in the 36th minute and was assisted by teammate Isaiah McCullough (Sackville, NS). The first half came to an end with a 1-0 lead for the Tigers over the Sea-Hawks.

Dalhousie started the second half with another goal in the 57th minute by Aaron Hoyle (Bedford, NS). This brought Dalhousie up to a 2-0 lead over Memorial with just over 30 minutes left in the game. Memorial came back into the game with a goal by 3rd year Ben Collingwood (St. John's, NL) in the 65th minute. 

Just minutes later, Memorial's Mark Brefo was handed a red card and was asked to leave the field. Even though the Sea-Hawks were a man down, they managed to score a second goal in the 77th minute of play by Tyler Kirby (St. John's, NL). This goal brought the Sea-Hawks to a 2-2 tie with the Tigers to finish the second half and the game.

Dalhousie and Memorial finished the game with a final score of 2-2. Memorial (1-2-1) will be playing at Huskies Stadium tomorrow, September 27, in a game against Saint Mary's (1-1-3) at 3:15 pm making in Memorial's third game of the weekend. Dalhousie (3-2-1) will be playing again on Friday, October 2nd against Acadia (3-0-1) at 7:15pm on Acadia's home field.
