Miller commits to Tigers for 2020-21 season

Dalhousie Tigers men’s hockey coach Chris Donnelly is pleased to announce the commitment of Shaun Miller for the 2020-21 season.

An Enfield, N.S. native, Miller recently competed his fifth season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). During his time in the league, he played over 280 games and accumulated over 150 regular season points for Blainville-Boisbriand, Cape Breton and most recently Rouyn-Noranda. In his 56 games between Cape Breton and Rouyn-Noranda this past year, the right winger scored 15 goals and added 25 assists.

A member of Team Nova Scotia at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, Miller is joining fellow teammates Derek Gentile and Christian Huntley in the Tigers 2020-21 recruitment class. Miller scored three goals and added four assists in their six games, making him the team’s top scorer at the event.

“I am excited to be joining a top tier school that holds high standards for students and athletes,” says Miller.

While attending Dalhousie, Miller will be studying business management.

“Shaun joins our program after playing close to 300 games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and compiling 162 points over his career,” says Donnelly. “An experienced forward, Shaun is best described as a hard-working player who has tremendous speed and a heavy shot.”

The Tigers finished the 2019-20 regular season in seventh-place, just outside of a playoff spot.
