(Halifax, NS) The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the St. Thomas Tommies by a score of 3-0 in AUS men's hockey action at the Halifax Forum on Friday night.
The Tigers opened up the scoring half way through the first period on a one-timer from the top of the circle by Fabian Walsh. Matt English assisted on the goal.
Tommies forward, JC Laflamme had two breakaway opportunities during the first twenty but couldn't beat Dalhousie goalie, Corbin Boes.
Dalhousie would take the 1-0 lead into the dressing room.
St. Thomas outshot the Tigers 14-5 in the period but still found themselves down 1-0 after two periods of play.
JP Harvey added an empty net goal in the final seconds of the game.
Dalhousie (3-8) will look to build on this win as they play UPEI (4-6) Saturday night at the Forum.
