The Tigers 2017-18 season came to an abrupt end in the conference championship last season with a semifinal loss to a senior-laden St. Francis Xavier squad. Lessons learned from that bitter loss will serve as a perfect tonic to help propel this year’s squad into the 2018-19 campaign.  

Coming off a very successful 8-1 pre-season schedule, captains Cedric Sanogo, Alex Carson and Sascha Kappos will be counted on to provide leadership and veteran experience, which are so essential to any team’s success.  With the addition of transfers Mike Shoveller, Jordan Wilson and Shamar Burrows, the Tigers will be a more athletic, deeper and versatile group in 2018-19. Key returning personnel include second-year guards Jordan Brathwaite, Xavier Ochu and Keevan Veinot. 

The Tigers are determined to make 2018-19 another banner season and are committed to regaining the AUS title and winning their first ever national title as host of the 2018-19 U SPORTS Final 8 Men’s Basketball Championship in March.
