Flashback Friday (Feb. 26)

This week we are flashing back to our 2004-05 AUS champions women’s volleyball team. After the regular season the team had clinched first place in the AUS standings, winning 17 of their 20 games played and would go on to win the AUS Championships. Jilliane Goulet and Jennifer Ward were named AUS first team All-Stars that season. Goulet would also take home the AUS Most Valuable Player award and she was also named a CIS second team All-Canadian. Ward and Haley McInnis were named AUS Championship Tournament All-stars while Stacey Power was named Championship MVP.  

The 2015-16 Tigers women’s team and their six AUS award winners will be looking to defend their AUS Championship this weekend at Acadia University. Their first game is a semi-final matchup between the winner of the Saint Mary’s vs. Université de Moncton quarterfinal. That match will take place Saturday February 27th at 4:30pm.
