This Friday, November 6, we are flashing back to the 2008-09 men’s basketball team. The photo features Josh Beattie, Nick Flynn, Simon Farine, Galen Enlow, Stephen Lopez, Yannick Walcott, Chad Wadden (Assistant Coach), David Nutbrown (Assistant Coach), Robert Nortmann, Jason Wang, Joseph Schow, Tim Coote, Sandy Veit, Germain Bendegue, John Campbell (Head Coach), Maria Dinney (Trainer), and Jess Nichols (Trainer). Other memebers of the team who are missing from the photo include Andrew Sullivan, Jay Williams (Assistant Coach), Dr. John McCabe (Mental Skills), Monica Uhlich (Trainer), Darren Steeves (Strength and Conditioning), and Drew Stratton (Strength and Conditioning).

During this season, the team made their way to the AUS Championships and Simon Farine was recognized as an AUS second team all-star. Farine was also selected as the AUS Championship MVP for his performance. Simon averaged 20.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, had a 41.2 FG percentage, and a 44.4 3PT percentage.

Coach John Campbell held a 42.42 winning percentage over his 11 years as head coach of the team starting in the 2002 season.
