Tigers defeat Sea-Hawks 3-1

(St. John's, N.L.) - Eunnie Kim's goal in the 31st minute proved to be the winner as the Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 3-1 in AUS women's soccer at King George the Vth Park in St. John's.

Memorial opened the scoring when rookie Jessie Noseworthy scored her third goal of the season in the third minute of play.

The Tigers quickly answered back as striker Bianca Jakisa booted her fifth of the year at the 5:11 mark in the first half.

After Kim's goal made it 2-1, Dalhousie added some insurance as Daphne Wallace scored in the 49th minute.

Second-year forward Victoria Parkinson was the Subway Player of the Game for Dalhousie while fourth-year defender Maria Oliver earned the honour for Memorial.

The win improved the Tigers to 7-2-1 while the Sea-Hawks fell to 5-3-2 in the tight AUS women's soccer standings.
