Congratulations to the men's cross country team who are ranked 10th in the U SPORTS Top 10 released October 17th. The complete release from U SPORTS follows:
TORONTO (U SPORTS) – The defending national champions UNB Varsity Reds (men) and Alberta Pandas (women) continue to lead the way in the second polls of the U SPORTS hockey season.
UNB improved to 4-0-0 following a 2-0 win at Moncton Friday and a 6-2 victory at home to UPEI Saturday. The Varsity Reds visit Acadia and Saint Mary’s this weekend. On the women’s side, fourth-year forward Amy Boucher scored three goals in two games, as Alberta (2-1-1) split a weekend series with No.8 Manitoba, winning 4-3 Friday night before falling 4-2 on Saturday. The Bisons will play a home-and-home series with Calgary this weekend.
In other U SPORTS rankings, Laval (men’s cross country and women’s soccer), Queen’s (women’s cross country), Montreal (men’s soccer) and StFX (women’s rugby) all remain national leaders for another week.
Note: Next Tuesday (Oct. 24) Top 10 rankings conclude in women’s rugby, and begin for men’s and women’s volleyball.
