The 03/04 season saw the Tigers have great success, advancing to the AUS conference final vs. StFX but just falling short as the X-Men swept the best of 3-series. But with the semifinal win the Dalhousie Tigers got an automatic berth to the nationals. The Tigers would end the season with a 5th place finish at the CIS nationals, defeating the University of Alberta 4-1 in the consolation final.

The individual success of the Tigers was represented at a national scale. Team MVP and captain, Chris Stanley led the nation in scoring with 18 goals and 30 assist.  Stanley was named both the AUS and CIS MVP, also being named to both of first team all-star lists. To go along with his hockey success, Chris Stanley was also awarded the AUS Godfrey Award for exhibiting outstanding achievement in hockey, academics, and community involvement. Other awarded players were Fred Belanger, and J.F. Perras, both being named to the AUS second team all-star list.

The Tigers will be hosting the Bell Let’s Talk hockey game next Wednesday, January 25 at the Forum to help create awareness for mental health.
